Siemens Sm@rtClient cannot connect to the panel


Symptoms:

  • VPN tunnel is established
  • Panel IP responds to ping
  • However, Sm@rtClient does not establish a connection

Solution approaches

  • Cross-check with another VNC client (e.g. ultraVNC)
  • Firmware update on the panel (V17. Upd. 8 or newer)
