Why does my Web2Go connection to a Windows 10 PC fail?

 

ATTENTION: There will be changes made on the registry of the PC. If you are not sure what you are doing, please contact your IT-Administrator

If you are having problems connecting to your Windows 10 PC via RDP using Web2Go, it could help if you change a value in the registry of the windows-pc.

1. Open the registry

In order to open the registry, type "Regedit" inside the search box in the left bottom corner:

Click on the search result in order to open the registry

NOTE: It is necessary to have administrator rights for opening the registry

2. Edit the registry entry

Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp

In this directory, open the entry:

Security Layer

And change the value from "2" to "1"

 

After changing this value, it should be possible to connect to this Windows 10 PC via RDP using Web2Go.
