SIM card - Which requirements must be met?

The following requirements for a SIM card must be met:

• The SIM card needs a online data plan, this means, a communication over the internet - especially via VPN - must be possible.
• The size of the SIM card must be "Mini SIM" (standard size).
• If you want to send additional SMS over the SIM card, you need a SMS option in your plan.

You need the following data of the SIM card to configure the modem in the portal:

• APN settings (maybe with user / password)
• SIM Pin (if available)
